Patricia Scanlon

PATRICIA “Patty” SCANLON (nee Patterson) age 72, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Terrence "Terry" Scanlon for 50 years; Loving mother of Kelly Pitman, Sheryl Schwamberger (Ty) and the late Bret Scanlon; Cherished grandmother of Kayla Pitman and Preston and Ethan Schwamberger; Dear sister of Lynn Gaston and Teddy Patterson; Dearest Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Originally from Mansfield, Ohio, Patty went to the University of Dayton, and was a teacher for the mentally handicapped for many years.  She loved golf, spending time in Florida and on the beach, her trips to the lake playing Tripoli, and getting together in the backyard by the pool with family. Patty focused her life around her family, very proud of her children and grandchildren, was a great friend to so many, and has a heart of gold, always taking care of and looking after others. 

Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OHIO 44141 on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Patricia's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, Ohio on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT CHURCH AND THE FUNERAL HOME). Interment to follow at Brecksville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to The Bret Scanlon Memorial Scholarship Fund, 6638 Mill Road, Brecksville, OH 44141, in Patricia's memory would be appreciated.
