Lillian Lucille (Kross) Bodker

Lillian Bodker (nee Kross) passed away on March 7, 2023.  Loving mother of Dr. Jack Bodker of Scottsdale, AZ (Carol), Sharon Bodker of Gates Mills, OH (David Atton), and the late Craig Bodker.  Dear grandmother of John Ryan Bodker.  “Auntie Lil” to her beloved nieces and nephews.

Lillian was born to Joseph and Marie Kross (nee Piwonka) on August 16, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio.  She was the youngest in the lively, German-Bohemian Kross family which included sisters Marie, Norma and Anne and brother, Joe.  She graduated from South High School in 1945 and studied Art at The Ohio State University.  

Lillian married and happily raised her three children in Independence, Ohio. She was an avid gardener and a creative, talented artist. She loved animals, especially cats, dogs, deer and butterflies. Lillian was a staunch defender of wildlife and protector of the environment.  

Private services were held at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield, Ohio.
