Joyce Lenore Lynch

Joyce Lenore Lynch (nee Weissenberg) Age 98 died peacefully on May 12th, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas G Lynch. Joyce is survived by her children Philip Lynch, Martha O’Gorman and Melanie Lynch.  Her son Thomas G Lynch Jr passed away on July 13th 2019.  Joyce was blessed with ten grandchildren and 17 (soon to be 18) great grandchildren all of whom she adored. 

Joyce was born in Toledo, Ohio June 6th, 1921. She went to Scott High School and graduated in 1939. Joyce and Tom raised their 4 children in the Brecksville/Broadview Heights community and were active members of the Brecksville United Methodist Church.  Joyce was also a long-time employee of the Brecksville school system until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and chatting with friends and family. She was an outstanding seamstress and made many wonderful dresses and keepsakes that her family still cherish. 

During the last 20 years, Joyce was blessed to be surrounded by her family who traveled frequently to visit her in Virginia Beach.  She had a deep love for her family and felt tremendous responsibility for all of them up until the time she passed away. She is surely continuing her watch along with her husband and son.  

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday September 7th,2019 at 10 am at the Brecksville United Methodist Church (65 Public Square, Brecksville, Ohio) and interment will take place immediately following the memorial at the Brecksville Cemetery.
